Job Responsibilities
- Assist the Jetty Foreman in supervising all berthing, unberthing, and cargo loading/unloading activities.
- Conduct daily safety briefings (toolbox talks) and ensure all crew and contractors adhere to HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) protocols.
- Maintain accurate logs of vessel turnaround times, cargo volumes, and equipment run-hours.
- Perform routine inspections of jetty infrastructure, including conveyors, bollards, fenders, and fire-fighting equipment.
- Liaise between the landside logistics team and vessel masters to ensure seamless transitions and minimize delays.
Job Requirements
- Minimum of 2–3 years in marine operations, port logistics, or mining jetty environments.
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Maritime Studies, Logistics, Engineering, or a related field.
- Basic Safety Training (BST) or relevant port operation certifications are highly preferred.
- Strong leadership abilities, basic computer literacy (MS Office), and the ability to work in a high-pressure, outdoor environment.
