- Job Responsibilities
-
- Lead, plan and mobilise Environment, build capacity & capability including acquire required resources.
- Lead, plan and implement Environmental Management Plan, Erosion and Sediment Control Plan (ESCP), Waste Management Plan, Decommissioning and Rehabilitation Plan, Biodiversity Monitoring and Evaluation Plan and etc.
- Enforce environmental contractual and regulatory compliance by the respective Contract packages.
- Implement environmental monitoring and carry out audit to ensure environmental conformances and compliances.
- Review environmental performances to ensure environmental requirements and target are met.
- Lead, plan and implement Wildlife Monitoring and Rescue (WiMoR) within Budget, Scope, Schedule and in compliance with regulatory and HSAP requirements.
- Initiate engagement and ensure good coordination work with consultants/external environment auditors / NREB / DOE /other authorities.
- Investigate and resolve compliance problems, questions, or complaints received from within the company, customers, government regulatory agencies and/or the public.
- Plan, prepare and communicate lessons learnt on Environmental Management to Company/Contractors and to ensure all relevant HSSE documentation are handed over to Hydro Owners after the completion of HEP.
- Plan, implement and monitor or control of Biomass Removal package to meet pre-conditions for approval of impoundment permit by authorities and critical path activity timeline.
- Problem Solving / Challenge :
- Manage international contractors that do not have full understanding and experiences on national and state environmental legislative requirements and other relevant environmental standard.
- Manage Environment in line with the international standards on sustainable hydropower development, e.g. Hydropower Sustainability Assessment Protocol (HSAP) good practices.
- Manage environmental issues for vast spatial coverage with concurrent/multiple packages progressing at the same time.
- Manage Multiple Environmental Stakeholders with various interest and priorities.

- Job Requirements

- Bachelor Degree in Sciences
- Minimum 14-16 years of relevant working experience with at least 3 years working in major Hydroelectric Project.
